Name is Jerry.....my experience with Kawasaki goes back to the mid 1970's...after leaving the Army in 1974 I raced motoX on the East Coast for a couple years then got into the business...in 1976 was offered a job as the sales manager of a Kaw dealership in Vineland NJ (Campus Kawasaki)..tricked out a KX250 (up pipe from CA, FOX shocks, etc)..raced it a bit..then I got one of our first KZ650 Customs (the silver one)...that became my street riding special...gave it up in 1978 when I came home to MI and married my bride of 31 years...now I am getting back into bikes...recently restored my brother in laws 1976 Goldwing and purchased a 1975 Goldwing for myself...my interest in KZ's has been renewed because a local guy has offered me a 1978 KZ1000 for $350 to work on restoring...so I'll be interested in picking you guy''s brains and looking for old stuff...the bike is all there just pretty rough looking.

Great to have you on KZR! So it was 31 years since you had a bike? Where in MI do you live? I'm in Holland on the west side.

And yes its been 31 years..and I just put 1500 miles on my 35 yr old Goldwing down to Virginia and back
