New member 82 KZ440 LTD

Hi, the name is Jacob and i'm really kind new to bikes as well. I picked this bike up from a buddy who got it from an estate sale. I paid $300 and it has about 6400 original miles.

I'm having a bit of trouble however, so if anyone can give some insight/advice I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a post in the tech - engine forum ( KZ440 LTD... Help! White smoke, oil on spark plug ) so any advice or help would be awesome

Welcome Jacob. Good luck with your find 6400 seem low miles to smoke. unless it was sitting a long time..

Thats what I was thinking, it's sooo frustrating. But thanks.

I'm really not sure how long it was sitting either. I'm starting to wonder if the oil is over-full and the valve clearances need adjusting, or maybe a combination.

Thats easy to check. Also it would blow oil out your breather. But smoking out one side only I don't think so . Is your petcock vacuum line come off that cly. If so check to see if its sucking Gas through the vacuum line.
