Noobie needs tire advice, and pics of new bike! was created by skipthedrummer
What's up yall. I'm sure i'll be on this site a good bit to soak up as much as I can.

Here's the bike I'll be picking up sometime this coming week.

1981 KZ550, all blacked and cafe'd out!

It needs a new back tire though.

Can someone tell me the size tire I can run on the back? I'd like to do a 130, but I don't want to run into any clearance issues.

Also, any brand tires I should look for. I'm looking for something that would "fit" the bike image wise, and not cost a lot.

if i remember correctly they take a 120 tire i wouldn't go much more than that if you want to keep the feel see if you can get an avon road runner in your size english tire and all what. also they are a pretty good working tire don't go for the cheapest it is your backside after all and you only have two tires keeping from sliding on your ass. so don't ever cheapout there.

The choices are becomming very limited these days for "good" tires.
