New to the KZ

I've been poking around this forum for a bit and finally decided to join. I love the information and advice some of these old school guys have to offer. Well I have an 82 KZ1000J that I got when I came home on leave from Iraq. Its my first bike but I have a little experience riding my dads 81 Suzuki GS1100(big bike to learn on). Its proven to be a tough bike to beat and the main reason I wanted it was the reputation of the KZ's. Alot of guys my age are usually into the newer sport bikes but I like it old school and carbureted. Well I look forward to hearing from you all and takin in that awesome tech talk. Maybe when I get home from Iraq even ride with some of ya guys in NC.

welcome aboard i have the same bike myself as well as afew others to go along with it. watch your ass come back safe and we'll help you anyway way we can with that scooter of yours above all we need more pictures.

Welcome Fozzie...the 1000J bikes are nice...good find...and thanks for being there (Iraq)...we will all ride with you when you get back...at least in spirit

Welcome. Keep your head down over there. I was a Cav Scout with 3rd ACR during the first one over there. You guys have had a much tougher mission this time around. (in both Iraq and Afghanistan)

We just replaced some guys from the 3rd ACR...Cav Scouts are some tough boys. I'm with 1/113th Field Artillery, just a cannon cocker but seems like I see alot of road time.

Fozzie, Welcome aboard. I also kicked around this site for a couple of years before I jumped into the fray. There is a wealth of knowledge at this site. Everyone has the same thing in common, the love of the Z.
