Hey all- signed on here a while ago, 1st post. I worked in a couple of Kaw. dealerships in the Bay Area, one of them for some time, in San Francisco for like 15 years, another in the East Bay for about 9 months. I've owned (and road raced) a '71 A1, a '73 S2A, (the older guys on here will know the cc's, hehe), and an '81 KZ 750E2 (oops-been so long ago that my sign-on tag isn't quite right, just realized, plus RR'd only the A1). Been out of bikes for a number of years, until last year when I picked up an '81 Suzuki 650G for cheap (I'm recycled64 on GSR). That tidbit will tell you that I'm a little schizophrenic between Suzukis and Kawasakis. Many models of both brands have much to be admired for. My first real bike was a '67 X6, which I also attempted to RR (best race was on a borrowed '69 T350 Rebel, no not a Honda for you younger folks-LOL). ANYWAY-enough personal history. What moved me to finally post here was, is, a curiosity about the Euro version of the KZ750E, known there as the GT750. It seems to me that Kawasaki missed the boat a little not offering
a shaft middleweight 'standard' model, not just the Spectres and LTD shafties. I'm hoping somebody here can turn me on to some links to the Euro version, reviews, current values, comparison tests, etc. Thanks for reading this, and thanks in advance for any info you might have.

Welcome askz75E1! We have a number of KZR members from across the pond where the 750P models apparently sold well...perhaps one of them will chime in with some info for you. As you are aware, Kawasaki did some interesting things from a marketing standpoint...and those strange/bad decisions continue to this day.

BTW...I'd love to have an X6 today :)

Hey, there, thanks for the reply- however, I did leave Castro Valley almost 20 years ago, and now live on an island off the coast of maine, off all places! I sure do miss No. California a lot, tho. Used to live right on the beach in SF, THAT is where I should have never left!!!:S

Gah... I hear ya. My family moved to the midwest in the early 80s and back to Cali by 85. Glad to be back and will not repeat my fathers self proclaimed "life mistake" leaving the left coast.

Good luck on your quest for info. Plenty of folks in and out of this forum.
