Hello Everyone. was created by gidster
Picked up a beautiful, nearly mint, 76 KZ900 a few weeks back. I have searched all over the internet for parts and such to build a street fighter, and this is by far the best website I have found. I would like some recommendations on where I should start. It would all be greatly greatly appreciated. I would like to start with a front end. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hah well thank you very much for that. I appreciate it. I understand your thoughts though, it is a beautiful bike and after a carb overhaul it runs GREAT. I honestly mean there is not a think wrong with the bike.

I LOVE custom bikes but I also appreciate a mint stocker and a 76' 900 is worth preserving. Any thoughts on keeping it stock and finding another for a project? How cool would a radically modded bike be sitting next to a stocker, both with the same paint scheme?

heres an idea.....keep the 900 era correct but get it tricked a bit.....and then for the 3000 you woulda spent hacking into your 900 ...just go buy a streetfighter...with a 130-145---- horse and modern goodies....zx-9 anyone...or say a used aprilla tunou......wrecked but strippable 98-2001 r-1 etc..zx10 ....ect....then you got superbike from the best era that will stop folks in their tracks..... and a rat bike for the squid years.....oh and pictures are needed for sure......welcome aboard bro.....good bike

Welcome to the site. There are plenty of guys who have put modern suspension and wheels on there bikes on here. Take a look in the pictures or use the search function. You should be able to find a thread or two with all the info from what parts they used to how they used them. BTW You can use modern suspension parts without hacking up your bike.
