I hate being a noob....
03 Aug 2009 13:20
..but everyone has to start somewhere! I was shown this place by another member and I fell in love with it immediately.
I have a 1977 KZ1000 that I've owned for 26 years. It's an ongoing project that's nowhere near finished.![B) B)](/media/kunena/emoticons/1.png)
Gusseted/braced frame
GSXR swingarm and rear brake
braided lines
wm6 rear Akront rim
Wiseco 1075c pistons
34mm Mikuni flat slide carbs
Accel coils
Dyna S ignition
Wiseco pipe
It's nothing special, but I'll never part with it! lol
Next on the list is a full streetfighter makeover with gixer front end and wheel, gixer swingarm, shock and rear wheel and a few more motor mods.

Well if it makes you feel any better I think you are overqualified to be a noob. Sounds like a pretty nice scoot as she sits and you had her for 26 years? I'd say you are post-lite but not a noob.
Lets see some pics!

You want a picture of my face? Are there any female members here, because I don't want to cause a riot with my incredible good looks!! ![:P :P](/media/kunena/emoticons/15.png)
I'll have to dig up some pics and maybe take a few of the bike since I don't even have a digital shot of it lol. It's going to be in drag race trim though because I just got back from a 3 day race weekend with Irishwill.

Lol, well I have read a few of your posts and I can clearly see your love of the classics, but there are enough 1000's to go around and besides, I've always loved modding bikes and this bike has been an ongoing project since I bought it 26 years ago. The only restraint has been cost.

Welcome to the board. It's funny how we can't seem to turn loose of the Z bikes. I have had a couple others in the time I have owned the 75. I bought her for $500 in 1987.
