New Member - Miami FL. 1979 kz750 twin...

Hi all.

My Name is Dane - I am from South Africa originally and live in Sunny Miami, FL.
I have been a bike lover all my life and have owned a CBR600F4 a few years ago when I lived in Detroit.
I just recently came to know about this forum after a buddy of mine, Kenn, and I decided to pick up a project bike and found a KZ that looked to be the perfect candidate. Got her from a guy in MI on craigslist for $900.

Here she is the day she arrived:


Been about 2 months of work and another $800 or so in parts and Voila... a beauty that I will own forever... Maybe pass it on to my Son (when I have one) one day. That would be cool. The bike is older than me - by a couple years.
She is still a work in progress, but so far, so good.

KZCSI - I have to get the bike transported from Michigan to Miami still. Anyone know any good bike shipping companies? Where do you recommend? I would like to meet up with fellow riders and find some nice day trips etc. round Miami area.

Biketoberfest is coming in October in Daytona Beach. There is usually a couple hundred thousand bikes of all kinds.
