New KZ rider

I just picked up a 1980 KZ1000 LTD with 20k miles on it last weekend. I live in Michigan and I'm a freshman at Grand Valley State University. Heres some pics, enjoy!

Yeah it was fun, picked it up 4 hours from where I live so it was a good ride :). She runs good, a little boggy under 3k RPMs so I talked to a local KZ guy and he gave me some tips on adjusting the carbs, other than that it runs like a top and pulls out real nice :D

Well I have to change the valve cover gasket and the cam end plugs, just starting to leak a little, and gonna play around with the carbs. Other than that I'm going to try and keep it as close to original as it already is, but who knows I might change my mind :P.

Must be nice, when I bought my 79 the carbs were in pieces, the front directionals were missing as well as the r.shocks (they'd put homemade drag links on it) and it had a fog light for a headlight. Oh yeah, the handle bars were welded solid steel bars!LOL. I paid $400 for it and another $500 to get it running an rideable!
