New member with new toy.....kustom KZ 650

Well as the name states it... I bought a KZ 650 and Stretched and doing alot more... keep checking back for more updated on the build.... started of as a stock 650 that i bought for a hundred and fifty bucks and trying to build a budget show bike.... don't know how its gonna look but we will all see..... stretched the swingarm 9 inches and lost the old tank for a tank from a GPZ seat is an original hand crafted pan out of fiberglass and will be wrapped shortly there's gonna be alot of stuff done but on a budget tell me what you think guys and gals.... oh yeah and TEXAS is where i stay...... come on back now ya hear!!!!!

any questions you got folks 'l chime in...there a few whacked out 650/750 builds going right now.....where are you at as far as trying to ride it....also good for you starting out with some pics......welcome....craig

What did you use to stretch the swingarm?

might be a dumb question, but im new and i have a 81 kz650 and im just looking for more options on how to stretch it.

Seriously, looks like you got a heck of a deal on the bike. You planning on keeping the exhaust system in the pic? It might work well on a stretched bike.

Hey LBM,

You's been hosed. Go with it these guys know their shiite and will offer mucho help and assistance when you are ready. Stretching a swingarm has nothing to do with tension and everything to do with welding and precise fabrication. Stretched swing arms are used for wheelie avoidance and also to increase turning radius.

LOL! nah really though im not that dumb, in his description of his bike he used the term "stretch" and when i wrote my response it was right there.
