no sweat kawzilla thats why we are here :) .
when i was driving in to work this morning i was thinkin about your bike and thought that the big fairing would maybe look better with the mkII side covers, and you might want to find some nice stockers for the little(original) fairing.you also need to look for the plastic seat rail covers that go between the seat and the tail piece.i think sudco has the body pieces in there vintage japanese catalog,or call jeff at z1enterprises he might have a lead on some, just thinkin.
here is my 1980 z1r

Nice pickup. I currently have a 80' Z1R, with the 78' motor. Just finish completing the electrical work on it, wish I had pictures to help you. Good Luck

Hey Leon, do you have any close up photos of your custom swing arm? I’m impressed, that’s not an easy fabrication project.

Thanks Royal1MC for the suggestion, I’m going to order the seat rails this weekend and send everything to the painter after they arrive.

Going to use the Dodge Viper Purple color.

Hey Leon, just as I suspected…a difficult fabrication and it turned out awesome. I like the “X” brace in the middle. Do you still have the welding jig and blueprints? I bet you could sell a few of those.
