Hello

Hi, I'm a 45 year old hockey coach from Denver, CO. Been riding most of my life but took a break when we started having kids. Now that they are all teenagers, I have been wrenching on some old KZ's again. About a year ago i found a '78 kz1000 that had not run for about 8 years for 500 bones on Craigslist. After a set of new points and a good carb cleaning it fired right up. Scored a '79 650sr yesterday that hasn't run in 10 years and hope to have the same luck. The beauty of these beasts is they just want a little love'n and they will treat you to a good time. I'm looking forward to tapping into some knowledge here and sharing what i can.

Here are some pics. Since getting the 1000 I have put some superbike bars on and worked on getting it to run good. When cleaning the carbs I discoverd at some point somone had mounted some 29mm Mikuni's on it. (nice of z-1 Ent. to put the carb id page on their site)

Just got the 650 this week and plan on changing fluids and cleaning the fuel system. I hope she comes to life. As much as I love the big bike, the 650's are fun to throw around.
