New Kawi rider in CHICAGO

hey guys just bought my first kawi last saturday, its a 1980 KZ1000 shaft drive. its got 40xxx miles on it, and a leaky valve cover gasket, lol. it came with full vetter fairings and radio and whatnot, but i didn't like it all so i stripped it down. came with an exhaust, but i took the mufflers off because im trying to figure out how to get the baffles out so i can make it louder. other than the valve cover gasket its really nice, nothing else leaks or squeals or anything, although, i do have to re-do some wiring because of the way the radio and stuff was wired in, and i need a new battery, other than that its good to go. let me know what you all think, and keep in mind i took all the stuff off it, so i will get updated pics up as soon as possible.

well, im original from the south side like 75th and state (GO SOX!) but like 7 years ago we moved up here to park ridge. basically northwest highway and oakton. yeah i would definitely be down for a ride sometime but i do have to get my valve cover gasket done soon and i'm going to get the carbs gone through as well.

Very cool !!!!!!!!!!. I live in the town right next to otakar. I have a 1974 Z1 900, i just got done rebuilding it this winter. Cant wait to meet up with ya and ride.
