Newbie/old lurker ...

Hi, I'm AJ, I live in Peoria Il. Been a Z-bike nut since my 1st KZ in '84. Owned about 8 thru the years, and would love another. I ride an '01 ZRX1200 now, a throwback do it all bike, my 2nd. Thought about tradin for an old 900/1000 because of my softspot/memories, but hard to find a clean example that aint been beat on/hacked up! I've had fast ones-2000 zx12r(1270 muzzy motor) Big motored 85 1150e, 92 GSXR1100,blah,blah, but still got a hankerin for the Z's. Here's a couple pics, my '78, 12r,hence my username zx1270, and only current ride ZRX1200 peace guy's...P.S. is there not a for sale section here?

hey welcome bro.....nice pics too.....i like the zrx they are cool.....some guy at bike night here last year had a real dark blood burgundy one lined with all the other bikes it was sleeper ...and he had a lot of inside work done to it....he was showing my nepphew and me the thing and saying it had 160 hp and when he popped the seat off and showed us some gooodies he hid..... it looked like it probably did....

Yeah zrx's are nothing to sneeze at. at 160ish h.p., he prolly had the 1224 kit with zzr cams and a fat tune-up at that level...The pic of me at Cordova was my old 1100. It was 133h.p. and got me down the track mid 10's all day and i'm 225 in leathers footshifting...My ZRX now is a 1200,just got rid of the airbox with a stage 3 setup. Great all rounders with alot of potential. Some of the board members over on the ZRXOA are avid dragracers running low 9's with the proper set-up. Most members on the zrxoa are big fans/owners/collectors of vintage Kawi's. I'll own another hopefully someday, maybe trade the ZRX for a set up nice one? Well, I cannot tell a lie...Love Kaw's mostly, but had a couple old school standouts I miss as well.Heres a couple pics of 2 hot rods I want back...The 1150 has a 1229 motor with RS Flatslides
