Newbee

Hi fellas
Just thought that i would introduce myself as a new member to your site. I am originally from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, but have now moved to Poynton in cheshire( lovely roads round here).
I am a 37 year old apprentice trained industrial Electricain currently not working to look after my disabled wife with two girls aged 8 and 10.

My bike is a 1981 KZ750E which was, until a few weeks ago, in near perfect condition. But sadly, due to a nice patch of diesel, shes a little tatty and requiring some major repairs.

I have been browsing this site for a couple of days and have found that the information, advice and support is second to none and you all seem like a great bunch of bikers, so much so that I have left my old forum to join this one.

I have decided after reading a lot of posts on here that I am going to upgrade the bike with a ZXR750H swingarm or NC30 and either ZXR400 front forks or the ZXR750s. I will try to keep you updated along the way.

Great site talk to you soon.
My bike is a 1981 KZ750E with Honda VFR400 NC30 single sided swingarm and Aprilia RS125GP rear subframe and seat pods, engine in more pieces than my mind

We are looking forward to watching you resurrect your bike. I find it interesting that you'll be using bits from models that were never offered on this side of the Atlantic :)

Ill try and keep you updated. At the moment everything is in bits, including myself.:woohoo:
The engine is ready for reconditioning and is stripped down ready for reshimming, reboring and skimmed, but they are that cheap over here I may just buy one instead.:S
The frame is currently being ground down to get rid of all the brackets that I dont need and I am trying to sell the original parts to get enough cash to pay for the newer bits I want.
If any of you guys need parts on your side of the atlantic look on the english breakers yards and if i can help i will do my best to get them over to you.
Chears for the reply

Welcome to the site, I just recently made it here myself. Sound like you have sweet ride in your head that you're going to make a reality. I wish I could do the same but I have riders block at the moment. Good luck with the build and sorry you're having to do it. All the guys here are filled with great advice and are more than willing to share it, thanks for the offer to help us all on parts we can find this side of the Atlantic. Hope you stick around be cool bro.
