Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii. I recently bought a 76' KZ 900 that runs, and passes our state safety inspection. But it leaks oil like a sive, the left side carburetor is slowly dripping fuel when parked, and perhaps when running I'm not sure. The filter on that carburetor is soaked with fuel. Perhaps a stuck needle. The bike misses at lower Rpm's. I'm certainly no mechanic, (I'm a truck driver), but I can tell you the difference between a 3/4" drive, and a 1/2" drive. Which isn't saying much as to my skills. Nevertheless I'll be doing all but the machine work myself. So I'm sure to be around hear quite a bit. My dad had the same model, size and year bike when I was just a little guy, and so "with a little help from my friends." You all very much included. I will be bringing this bike back to health over the next year. Though I hardly know where to start. But still, I just got done moving last week, and cant wait to get started. Just starting my research now and have plenty of that to do. You all have a great day, and Aloha for now. G. Spears.:cheer:

A good cleaning or rebuild on the carbs will do it for you. Also is it leaking from the stator cover on the left side of the bike? If so it's more than likely the plug and isn't too bad to fix. Good luck and make sure you ad some pics.

Welcome!

A 3/4" drive is probably a bit large for bike work. A 3/8" and 1/2" are more usefull. :D

Have fun.
