I've had my GPZ 550 for about 20 years now.

It is a retired Box Stock racer returned to street use, then crashed.

I got it from an aquaintance who bought it crashed, bought some parts to restore, then "had" to get married.

I bought it and put it back on the road and I've been slowly restoring it over the years. I recently finished with replacing the broken instrument panel and ignition switch cover.

It was modified with a 594(?) piston kit, head work, S&W shocks and Progressive fork springs. Needless to say, it revs like crazy!

I know the guy that did the engine work (he works mostly on British cars now) so I can get anything fixed that I can't do.

My wife rode it for about 3 years and it hasn't gotten many miles since then. It definately needs a repaint from the dozens of rock chips.

Very nice and welcome aboard.

Kawasaki hit it right with the GPz and that fire engine red.
