New User in Alberta
13 Mar 2009 20:01
Hello All!
I am currently working on a 82 KZ750S (twin). The bike has been in an old shed on the family farm for 10+ years now, so is, needless to say, in rough shape.
This is the first street bike I've tackled, I grew up with dirt bikes and have a little mechanical knowledge through modifying and maintaining my car ('67 Camaro)
I've done some cosmetic stuff, recovered the seat, repainted what needs paint (going with a pretty boing flat black), polished the chrome, and had a blast doing it. I rode the bike a little last fall and noticed that it doesn't seem to want to rev out at high speed...
I will post in the carb forum regarding my suspicions...
I hope I'll be able to lend a hand when other members need it, and hope you'll be able to help out when I run stuck.
Other than that... don't know what to tell you... I like hunting, fishing, pretty much anything in the mountains. Old cars, good books... if you're ever in my neck of the woods drop by for a scotch...
Regards
D
