Hey from SC

I'm a younger guy not terribly new to motorcycles living in Columbia SC. I had a sportster I cut down and bastardized over the last couple years but the bank took that from me. After being bikeless for about 6 months I went crazy(if I wasn't already) Tried finding another sporty but people want to much simply because its and HD. Well I said f that and posted a wtb ad for a cheap bike. I got a call from a guy with a 78 kz650 for 300 bucks 400 with carbs. I went for it and now I'm in it up to my neck. Heres a pic of what it looked like when I brought it home. Minus that god-awful two up seat.

And after 3 weeks of cutting and chopping. Its gonna take the same direction my sporty took. Bare bones cut down not a chopper thou(I like turns)




I need to find a decent shop in my area for something metric. I have a KICKASS indy shop for anything HD. And will be runnin as much cheap harley used stock pieces I can. Right now I'm using a mildly modified Front master cylinder off god knows what HD. And gonna hit him up for some coils maybe.

Welcome to KZR. nice bike its much better than the before picture. Would you say the kz is faster than the sporty?
my dad has a 2001 wide glide, its a tank. I can crap faster.I ride a 78 1000ltd and it puts his v-twin to shame. I expecially like what you've done with the tank.Happy riding and keep the rubber side down.
