We just hit 15000 members was created by The Gringo
Since we have been getting close the last few days I've been paying attention to the stats and we just hit 15,000 members. Pretty impressive since it was just 16 months ago we passed the 10,000 mark. To increase by 50% in such a short time makes me believe this old bike thing is starting to catch on.:) Also after talking to the guys from Z-1 Ent. at Mid-Ohio this year and hearing about their growth in sales these past couple of years, well it's just encouraging news about the health of our obsession.

I was wondering if the users that have not been on in say 2 or 3 years are notified and if no response then removed?

I was a member of another forum that i forgot about and was notified that if i didn't log in that i would be removed.

I guess it doesn't matter one way or another but it would keep the member list cleaned up.

15,000 - that's a bunch. Let's all go on a spring ride together. We'll meet at Gringo's house for lunch.:)

It would be interesting to compile an inventory of the members' bikes. I'll bet there must be at least 1 of every KZ model ever made. Ed

I looked the other day and saw we had 14999. I guess I missed the important one. :D

A lot of old bikes got pulled out of storage last spring and early summer as gas prices flirted with five bucks nationwide. I don't think anyone believes that they will stay at two bucks or less for any length of time. So keeping the old girl in tune and ready to go seems prudent to me.

And to think I started looking for a bike when gas was around a buck twenty. :S

Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.

Congrats to Stein and all of us !!! That's a lot of folks, even if only 1% are active on the board on any given day.
The old bike thing is definitely helping but I gotta say that the breadth of knowledge on THIS particular board makes it the go-to place for air cooled 4 stroke Kawi questions and solutions.
It is amazing to me that the two biggest English-speaking boards on the Net (I believe) happen to feature old Kawis....this board and KTW. What's with that ???
