Hey KZ Riders
22 Feb 2009 21:40
Hey ya'll, my name's Daniel...My first post, but I have been lurking for a month or so...
The reason I have been lurking...1980 KZ750H...barn find...100.00 bucks...no title, but one owner and he says it is lost.
First, a little about me....I made my first ride down the track at 14, aboard a 1973 suzuki GT 380 Ramair.....lol...I think it was in the mid 14's...but I got enough attention that by the time I had my license I had a ride aboard a GS 1100...allout bike...was turning 9.50 back in the day when that was quick...and I weighed about 100 lbs soakin wet.
Well, now I am 43, tipping the scales at whopping 145 lbs...and I have pretty much made up my mind that the title can stay lost...I have owned too many bikes to count...I have been a mechanic, fabricator, and car builder all my life...I have restored several bikes from the frame up,including a 79 CB 650, and an 82 GS 850, but I haven't been racing since I was 18.
So now its time for a new project...Enter project "Baby Mad Kaw" .....An eighties looking retro drag bike...Bracket racing a'course...So I am open for suggestions as long as they follow the "Baby Mad Kaw" theme....engine mods...the inevitable swingarm discussion...wheels...
Any way, Thanks for having me, ya'll have a great site here, You will be seeing me around
