New member from Kentucky
08 Feb 2009 05:24
My name is Chaz, I am 23 years old and I own a 1980 KZ1000LTD. I love the bike and now my dad has just purchased a 1980 KZ1000LTD as well. I am the parts manager at a local bike shop in Georgetown KY that sells Honda Kawasaki, and Suzuki's. I have done a little to my bike but still want to do some more.
When I first got it:
Now I have tinkered with it a little:
and here is a pic of dads bike:
thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Nice bikes! Love the color of your dads. What kind of steering damper is that?

I dont know but the guy that we purchased dads KZ from had one that he gave me. how cool was that! he had it on his drag bike that is sooooo sick. It is a 1983 GS1100 bored over to a 15something. he said it would run a 7.99 @160 in the quarter.
Mcdroid,
I did not order any pipe, in the pictures my bike came with a Mac exhaust on it, but riding on the interstate one day my bike got really loud so I waited till I got to work to check it out and the can fell off! So me and my dad got some exhaust pipe from Advance Auto Parts and a baffle from work and we made the black one. I think I have $14.00 in it.
