newb w/pics
26 Nov 2008 19:58 - 26 Nov 2008 22:13
Greetings all, an excellent site! Here's my latest excuse to avoid all the other stuff I should be doing around the house/at work/with my spouse/etc:
'78 KZ650 stored for years by the previous owner and on the road to recovery
I got it up and running and have roared up and down the street a few times using a bolt for the right footpeg until my ebay parts arrive...
Here's the daily driver, a '04 ZZR250 (Canadian model w/same mech. as the Ninja EX250, different everything else:
Cheers to everyone who contributes to the site!

cvzzr, welcome to the KZR nation. Cool yet another KZ650 receiving some TLC. Good stuff!
Best of success with your latest project.![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
PS
Could you add your year, model and location to your signature. It will help you get the best responses... and it's considered real friendly too.

Yeah, sorry about the pic quality. Was trying to get a couple snaps without the flash, so the ISO is cranked up. I will post some better pics later on.
I am on Vancouver Island, BC, so a sunny day this time of year is hard to find (as evidenced by the filth covering my 250 - it gets an almost daily dose of rain/mud from my gravel road, but I can ride almost year round out here...

Uh-oh....
These things seem to multiply somehow.
Pictured is a '78 650d with '81 750e engine, kerker, mikuni 34 rs carbs, 750 fork. I couldn't resist. Just swapping the original bars and seat back on to sort of "de-cafe" (decaffienate?) it. Waiting on some ebay ignition pick-up coils (crash damaged) to fire it up. 810cc maybe?
