Seattle rider - hello

greetings from the great Pacific NorthWet. i am the orig
owner of an 82 GPz750. I haven't ridden it for about two
years since job change but now trying to get it rolling
again. though i gave it a scootch of gas treatment, it
appears that the carbs may require cleaning. hard to find
mechanics to work on such an oldie so I am reading up on
care of my bike. it's taken care of me all this time -- I
should do the same in return....and get back in the saddle.

Hello Raymond...nice scooter you have there...I'm partial to them also...I second Locozuna...pictures por favor...and finding competent mechanics to work on older Z's is difficult...you may have to learn more about your bike than you originally anticipated:) as most of us have had to do

ray, the original owner... way past cool! B)

Welcome to the KZR nation. Lots of info here to keep your bike going for decades to come.

Some like you continue providing your ride with TLC and many more continue cleaning up the messes from PO's... and all are welcome.

Best of success. :)

Welcome Ray. Looks like another Pacific Northwesterner or however you spell it. There is a guy over in your area that has a shop and does older carbs. There is also Wiredgeorge on here who is a carb master. Look in the vendor directory at the top of the page I'm sure he is in there. I'm hoping to get over there a few times next summer for some group rides. If I make I'll let you know.
