Hello fellow KZRiders! was created by kenclark
Hi all,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I have looked around a bit and am quite impressed with the big dogs I see hanging out here.

I have recently started a new project with my 77 KZ1000 and will I'm sure find this forum a wealth of information and help as I'm sure I will need. Having wrenched on these old bikes for 25 or 30 years I still run into things I need help on..

Glad to have found this forum and look forward to stopping by regularly.

Pics of the bikes if you would,please...

You have a 77,"Custom",and I'd like to see pics of what customizing you've done.

NP Sandy,

I have the KZ1000 torn down to the frame and ready to paint here in the next day or 2, below is a pic, not a lot of custom work, the engine, highway boards and tank will come off the police bike I have, the rims are of unknown origin, exhaust is/will be new MAC 4 into 2, everything else will be the stock KZ1000 parts (I think).

Here is a photo of my daily rider if anyone wants to see my Yammie (bored to 1197 in 2003) all else is stock.

Welcome Ken. 77's rock! Just ask Sandy. There are a few members over your way so make sure you say hi. Next summer I'll be heading your way. I'm planning a 2 country, four state, one day ride for August so I'll have to stop in and say hi. BTW I'm over here in Post Falls ID right outside of Spokane.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I will be looking for a ride to Texas to deliver the project in the spring if anyone is interested (San Angelo).

Also, if anyone in the area here needs help, tuning, blah, blah blah lemme know, you can stop by anytime,,, I will be painting since the temps will be above 70 for the next few days here. Woo Hoo, I still made my goal to get the frame and related parts painted this fall.

Polishing, refurbishing, rebuilding and assembly for the next 4 or so months,,, hehe

Pssst, when it rains here, I code web sites, so look for a new blog of mine to document all that I am doing to this bike and how I am doing it with photo's. Got some projects for the yammie planned too (final drive swap and clutch rebuild).

Will post in the Projects forum for the links when ready for ya.
