Hello. I bought a '83 KZ550. Yay me. was created by Beanie
I'm new to riding and in NJ. I took the MSF course 3 weeks ago because I didn't want to not know how to ride a motorcycle. I passed and then found my KZ. Paid $850 for it. So far I've replaced the old rear tire, the pinched clutch cable, I have a speedo waiting to go on because p/o switched out the turn signal canceling one and I installed some case guards. Everything else looks to be cosmetic. So far so good. Oh and I'm trying to figure out how to fit some saddlebags on her. Maybe I'll just fab my own luggage rack/ backrest if I find the time between rides. Thanks.

Welcome, and you have a solid middleweight, it looks good! My riding partner has one just like yours, and thinks nothing of going cross country on it when the urge hits him. He has throw over saddlebags and a 15" handlebar mounted windshield.
