I've been a member of this board for a while, viewing the bikes, reading the posts, in the hopes of finding a KZ similar to my fathers 650. Unfortunately, he passed away recently so my brother and I will be maintaining his cherry 1978 KZ650.

It has a lot of history in our family, a lot of good memories, and we look forward to keeping it pretty much bone stock (we took off the sissy bar today) and enjoying it for what it is - a great relic of the past that he maintained over the years and we look forward to enjoying with our families.

There are some VERY clean bikes on this board which is great to see. I'll post some more pics later:P

Welcome to the forum. Very nice example you have there and good call on ditching the sissy bar. I'm sure you and your brother will enjoy it and if you have questions you've found the right place, there are a few of us here with 650's, Bad Kaw of course being the exception.:laugh:

I live in Jefferson City,MO and in the local paper there is a 1978 KZ650 for sale, add says it needs work but that is all I know. The phone number is 573-634-2738 call after 5pm CST $200. If anybody calls and is interested let me know and I can go look at it since its in town. Jerry
