Here are a couple of pictures of my, new to me, bike. It’s been sitting in a garage for the most part of the decade. With 22111 miles on the odometer, and in pretty decent condition. Don’t run, yet, and needs some parts and upgrades. It looks like the seat and front fender have been replaced by LTD style parts. Also the engine # is quite high compared to the frame VIN so I doubt it’s the original engine.

Very nice garage find!
Welcome to the site, and thanks for posting pics.
What's it going to need to get it running?

Thanks for the comments.
Future plans are to keep it stock looking but upgrade the bike to a reliable low maintenance bike for those spontaneous moments where I just wants to get some fresh air.
To get it running I definitely need a carburetor job. I need a lot of new rubber parts, a battery, steering head bearings, swing arm bushings and ignition parts. I’m contemplating investing in the Dyna S ignition and coils right away. I need rear shocks since mine are rusted pretty badly on the piston rod and will tear the seal in no time.
The list goes on and on. Right now the “Want” list is far longer then the “Need” list. I don’t mind spending a little extra to get quality, but at the same time I’m on a budget so I’m hoping this site can help point me in the right direction. Do it right, do it once.

Electronic ignitions and new coils are a little pricey, but IMO, are worth it. Makes it reliable and maintenance free. You may notice some small improvement in performance, but I think the big advantage is not having to mess with points/condensers again.
The paint looks in good shape. You'll get some looks at bike nite with that one...

Paint is far from perfect, as seen in this picture, but good enough for me at this point. Some of this might polish out too.

we can't say enough good things about z1e,jeff (the owner) is a member on here and very knowledable with a very comprehensive website.if you can't find something on his website callem as they don't have it all listed.dyna coils and ignition would be a very good investment, one that i don't think you would regret.i remember when a pair of dyna coils was almost $400.00.makes $120.00 dollars look like a bargain nowadays.if there are parts you need that z1e doesn't have post up and we will help you find them.
