Hello everyone. I've been lurking since I bought a 1980 750 LTD on Sunday for $50. It's my first bike that I don't have to peddle. For fifty bones, it's in decent shape. Haven't gotten to ride her yet cause it didn't have any air filters on it when I bought it. (No, it was never driven without filters). I bought it from a friend who wanted the garage space back. It's got a windjammer ferring (sp) on it that's a POS and is missing the windshield. That'll be coming off as soon as I get some spare time. At this point, I'm not planning on restoring it, or making it look too fancy or anything, but I may fall in love with it and change my mind. Anyway, if anyone has any tips or pointers for me, feel free to share, I'm always open to suggestions.

If any of you would like a beat up black windjammer with no windshield, pay shipping and it's yours. :cheer:

Welcome to the forum.

You got a great deal on the bike; congrats. Even if it costs you a few hundred bucks to get her going again, it's still a great deal.

Show us a picture of your new toy.

Also, since it is your first bike, consider taking the rider safety course if you have not done so: nm.msf-usa.org/msf/ridercourses.aspx
