Just picked up a new toy 1981 KZ750 ltd 8,350miles new paint totally rebuilt carbs and dealer serviced this spring
1400$ seems to be a very good bike what can you guys tell me about this bike THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY. Did i do ok on the price and was wondering about changing the handle bars to some thing a little more comfortable and modern looking any info on anything about these bikes would be greatly appreciated THANKS JIM

Sounds like you got a steal there. Congrats on a nice score. I'd offer to advise you, but my KZ was a 650 and from what I hear GPZ's handle a little differently.
I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

The good would be that with a little TLC and proper maintenance it should provide you with many years of enjoyment. Can't say that I know of any bad or ugly on that bike. I've had my bike (bigger brother of yours) for 27 years and still enjoy it.
