first let me say that this forum is awesome. I've found such a wealth of info that would've either cost an arm and a leg or would've taken years to gather from personal experience. I've recently purchased a 1977 KZ650C for my first bike. It was in semi-running condition and I thought a steal with 14,000 miles for 800 bucks. Since I got her home I've already adjusted the rear suspension, removed rear ...fairing? maybe thats what its called, removed front fender, and painted her flat black (much better than the flaking red/pink she was before. I also just put in the dyna s ignition which was a pretty easy install. I've always wanted a bike, haven't ridden since middle school on a small dirt bike. so now with gas getting extremely expensive decided that now is the time. I'm looking forward to eating lots of bugs, having an extreme farmers tan, and burn marks on my calves from exhaust pipes!!
