Mike from lancaster PA looking at a KZ750 Twin

Whats up everyone, I have found a KZ locally for sale. it's a 82 750 twin. but I'm getting discouraged about buying it because I haven't found one online site yet that offers parts for it! It's not charging the battery, it runs great with a charger on it but the battery dies.

Is this bike even worth getting? 500 bucks but its in nice shape.

Thanks guys. great site.

Mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the Forum, You will love this place.
AS for the bike, Buy it or I will. Sounds like the stator needs replaced. Check out Z1 enterprises or bike bandit, I delt with both of them. Good luck. Doug.

That's a good price for a running bike. I'd go for it. Could also be a bad rectifier which is an easy fix.

I would snag it too. You can always find parts if you know where to look, or even know how to ask.;)
I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Hey thanks for the welcome guys. Hopefully if all goes well I will be tearing into it next weekend :)

Hey Tool Maker I see you are from Lanc. also. Do you by chance have a KZ with an orange tank? I saw someone Saturday around 1:00 on 272 near green dragon with one that was a beaut.

Lancaster, ain't that far from Baltimore. There's a good salvage place, Baltimore Cycle Salvage. Dean was very instrimental in getting my '82 twin running.
