What I can see its missing is
-Carburetors
-Side Cover
-Front brake MC
-Seat cover
-Air box

And he says the engine is locked up from sitting for 5 years, which I dont really understand unless it was outside in the rain.

have you tryed te kickstarter to see if the motor moves if not i would just take his word for it and remove the plugs and give each cylinder a shot of miricle oil let it sit(not just on kickstand as the oil will just go to one side) leave the plugs out and try the kickstarter by hand a little at a time!!!!!you don't want to scratch the cylinder walls!! with the carbs off moisture could get in!!if it is locked up remove the head to see what the damage is.p.s i'am no expert so maybe some one will add some to this or maybe even have a better idea!! just don't force anything yet each piston is in a different spot in each cylinder(one maybe top dead center with minimal rust were the one that is seated at bottom might have rust on the hole cylinder wall)etc.

I havent seen the bike in person yet, im going to go look at it wednesday night, its just its a trip to go look at it and ill either buy it then or wont at all.

Ok, I got some more information tho. He said the bike is a 1978 and it has a newer early 80s engine. It has the electronic ignition and not the points style. The wiring is good other than where they spliced in the electronic ignition. says he might have a side cover and all the rest of the parts except for the carbs. Whatever he finds hell throw in with the bike. He doesnt know for sure if he has a new gasket set or not.

I don't know if I could walk away from a $200 KZ1000,
regardless of its condition. But I'd be careful about
that one. If you're a bike wrencher and need a hobby,
then you could do a lot with a bike like that.
But if you want to ride, then you'll need patience.
If you've already got a rider, and want a project, then
that's a good bike to start with.
