Hey guys,

Greetings from a fresh Moto Martin Z900 owner, I've been working on old Jap fours for about 7 years now but Kawasaki is new for me, this seems like a great site!

One off the frame, I was cleaning the carbs, the bike was sitting for 16 years but now she runs again. :cheer:

Needs some more work on the electrics and the fiberglass fuel tank 'cause it's leaking slightly then I will be able to ride the rare beast. :woohoo:

Welcome Robinjo. I also have a Martin, I got mine from a guy who had it in storage for 28 years,,, still brand new but showing evidence of storage damage. Currently dismantling it, cleaning or repairing rust/paint damage and thinking about how I want to rebuild it.. Will look forward to what you find with yours. You are closer to the source of parts etc ( Ilive in New Zealand)so please pass on any tips.
Nice bike, well done getting such a beast.

531blackbanshee: The frame is made from steel, I believe it's Chrome-Moly but not sure, it's chromed from the factory.

petez1: I had already spotted your bike/framekit and am very curious how it will be when it's ready.
Unfortunately I don't have any Martin contacts yet.

On a different note, I took my first ride on the bike yesterday! :) I sealed the leaking fiberglass tank with epoxy and got the lights working, frame is straight and feels quite different than a normal cradle frame from that era, more modern, engine runs well with no bad sounds, carbs needs some synching I think.

Maybe it is time to start a project topic about this bike. ;)
