KLR Rider KZ Lover

How do?
Nice site.
I purchased a new 78 KZ650 in 79, sold it six years later. I then purchased a new 84 KZ700 which I had until last year when I sold it to purchase an 07 KLR650. The 700 never quite got to me as much as the 78 650. I always thought the 650 was just as fast. I preferred the upright ergos (which the KLR shares).
I love the KLR. It reminds me of the 78 650 in some ways (HP not one of them!). It's now a 685 with aftermarket suspension front and rear. A great bike. Still miss my KZs though.
Am keeping an eye out for a KZ650 for a project bike/recreational rider. I also have a line on a 76 900 which may be available later in the year. It's a little hard to justify the expense since I can't ride two bikes at the same time, but some deep burning desire for another KZ may trump any misgivings...

thanks Mcdroid, I'll check him out.
Gotta move slow...any sudden moves may frighten the better half!
Loved the KZ650 though, it's true. Will always have a huge soft spot for it! What a great bike...
