Hi, all! From KC was created by geesterkz
Hi, fellow KZ riders. I've got a '77 KZ1000 that I've owned for a few years, and finally got around to get it functioning like it should. It's a Frankenstein creation with the front and rear suspension from a gixxer, a d@d exhaust, dyna ignition, and other assorted bits. Really stable and fun to ride. I'll post pics soon. I also ride an '07 R1 that recently replaced a '99 bmwk1200rs (bit of a shift, there). My name is Dan, I'm 42, and have been street riding since I was 16. I know this will prove to be a useful site!

Welcome geesterkz (Dan)! I too have a 1977 KZ1000 (actually I have two of them) and after two years, one remains a basket case and the other still only runs on three...despite having replaced all there is to replace...I think I own the devil's bike...glad you have better luck that I do:)

Thanks for the welcome, Mcdroid! I'm lucky there's an ole' fella in my area that specializes in old Kawi's, and has been a great help. Ride on!

Welcome, Dan.

We have several members in the KC area. I started riding at 16, but had a break from 28 until 41 when I finally got back in with my 650 SR. Now I've been infected. :D
