Hey guys, just wanted to say hi. I am purchasing a 1973 Z1 900 in a few days and i thought I would get into the forum and see whats up. It's got a couple of alterations that I don't like and will likely change eventually.

What do you mean the bikes numbers?

See at the bottom of my post? "77 KZ 650 C1".

If you go to your profile page, you can submit the info on your particular bike. This will allow anyone reading your posts to know what bike you have. This will aid in answering questions about what it is that you may be asking.

I always look for people who have the same bike as me as well. It helps to have the numbers down there.

My intentions...well right now she's pretty ugly, someone painted her all black and changed the seat to what looks like an ltd seat. Initially, since she'll be my only bike and I ride more than I drive I'm going to make it as practical as I can. Throw on a windshied, comfy seat maybe a king and queen double bucket thing. You know, set it up for comfort. Eventually I'll probably make her nice and sleek looking though. It's got the all black Mac 4-1 canister exhaust on there which I can't stand. I'm looking and the V&H megaphone. Get her repainted with the Blue and Yellow color scheme they had back then. I know that in 73 the only american ones were the orange and brown and thats her original color but I'm not too concerned with originals.
