Hello from Indiana!!! U.S. Midwest
13 Apr 2008 05:09
Hello to all riders, new and old! My name is Mike and I'm new to the site. Well at least acouple of months now. I have 1980 Kz1000G model that was modified when I bought it. It was stripped of its fuel injection and replaced with 36mm Mikunis. I did more research on it and found out it has a 1105 kit, stock cams w/bigger springs, and stock ignition w/ Accel super coils. it was abused and now I'm working all the bugs out of it. Very slow process, but I've had help from some of the local shops. It seems that these bikes are becoming more popular again around here, because it took me 5 years to find another one. I had a 1979 ST shaft model that i fixed up and rode for years, but had to sell it! BIG MISTAKE!!!!! But I had to do what I needed to do. But anyway, I've got this one and it will go to the grave with me! I've looked at all the pics on the site and I have to say," I am impressed with the pride and joy you people take in your bikes! I am proud to be a member and have passed it on to others that might be intereted also!" I just recently purchased a 1977 KZ750B twin "basket case" to fix up for my fiance to ride or a cafe racer street bike. She is not sure if shae wants to ride it or not,so the alternative is the cafe racer. Thanks again and keep the rubber side down. God bless to all and be safe. I'll post pics later.
Mike

Welcome Mike...thanks for the confessional...you do realize that it always starts with one bike...then its another...then it's a garage-full, but the upside is, if you know you have a problem, that is half the battle...feel free to drop in anytime, the door is always open:)

Welcome, Mike.
Don't fight it, just let the bikes come in and stay for a while. IT seems as though when one finds a good home it puts out the word and the next thing you know there's a Kaw party in your garage!![:D :D](/bigsmile.gif)
I don't know how they do it.

Where are you in Indiana?
If you are anywhere near Muncie then you are in luck with regard to the 750 twin, as you are near me

I am in town called Princeton. It is about 30 miles north of Evansville. Why in regards to the 750 twin?

There's another Princeton IN up North just off US 30 ![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
And why regarding the 750 twin?
Because I had enough 750 twin parts to start my own business if I was so inclined, but I'm not so inclined so I have slowly been whittling the 750 twin spare parts supply down to a manageable size. But at the same time the 750 four parts have been multiplying :woohoo:
