I just found this site and I'm excited. I was beginning to think I was by myself in my love for the Z1 but I'm happy to find MANY others. I personally own about 18 Z's some part doners and some riders. My pride and joy is a 1973 original I bought new in Oct. 1972...my show bike. I've been commuting from AR to OK for seven years and I'm now building a new home on Old Route66 between Luther and Wellston, OK. Looking forward to discussions and rides on RT 66 with some of you.

We have members in Tulsa and OKC, so you'll find yourself in good company moving there.

OKC_Kent will probably be along any minute to welcome you aboard.

Oh, yeah, pics, pics pics! :)

Welcome 2 da Zone lyonz1.
As a fellow Kawasaki enthusiast I'm sure you'll find much to discuss here. It is always helpful to add your cycle and location info to your signature line. ;)
Have fun!

Welcome lyonZ1...yep, there are a few members from the Oklahoma area...nice to see another Z1...what else do you have? If you are particularly interested in Z1 restoration, might I suggest also joining

groups.msn.com/WorldwideZ1Z900Ownerscommunity

I'm a member of both groups as are a number of us on the KZR site.

Hey lyonz1,
welcome to the site!
I'm in NW OKC and travel up Rt 66 quite often in the summer. We'll have to meet at Pop's for a cold pop. If you haven't found Pop's yet, you will.
On Sunday April 27th, weather permitting, I'm riding to Tulsa to a vintage bike meet at Brookside. You're welcome to come along! I'll be taking RT 66 from Edmond to Tulsa. Let me know.

Hey Kent, what's the event in Brookside? I live there, and don't know anything about it, except the Harley guys buying parts at Myers-Duran and swilling beer at The Crow Creek Tavern sneer a lot when I ride by.

PM me. dude. I'm in the middle of figuring out the Title 42 process on my mechanic's KZ650. Maybe we can compare notes.

At the Brookside Motorcycle Company on So. Peoria St.

www.brooksidemotorcyclecompany.com/

The best part is FREE BBQ !! :cheer:

I'm trying to get a few other guys from the city to go with me. I don't know what the event is like, I couldn't go last year. But it's a good 3 hour ride on Rt 66 each way, so that is A-OK by me! If I get there early and see what I came to see, maybe we can go riding north of Tulsa in the afternoon, and catch some scenery?
Let me know.
