Stick with the stock size tire on the stock rim . If you put too big of a tire on the narrow rim it just looks dorkish and doesn't work well either .

thanks for the info are you saying that a 110/90/18 is the best choice for the rear wheel. I was just wondering how much larger I could get. I just want the measurement cause I need a new tire also. thanks again. I will be drag racing only but I want to keep the stock look except for the skinny rear tire.

If you actually want to get a little more rubber to the road put on a 100/90 or a 100/80 tire. That will flatten out the contact patch a little. If you want to go wider than 120 relace your hub with a wider rim. That's the only way to fully utilize a wider tire.

True, but if he's drag racing only so he wants as flat as a profile as he can get. That's why I recommended the "narrower" tire. It'll stretch to a flatter profile than a 120 will.

You should be able to go to a 130 or perhaps even a 140. Your best bet is to measure everything up and know how much room you have before buying a tire. my 2 cents worth. take care all. jonnybiker

you can run around a 130 if you want to lace up a 3 1/2"rear rim .put a few short sheetmetal screws around the rim into the bead of rear tire on each side, then you can run lower air pressure to help with hooking up without spinning tire on rim and cutting valve stemB)
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

IIRC, the stock rear rim is a 2.15"
Just a little to skinny for a 130.
