New kz 550 owner

Great site,glad I found it!

I have a 1982 kz550 with 9000 miles I got for free from an old lady who's son left it in her garage for 12 years and she just wanted it out.
The only thing I had to do was a basic tune up,battery,clutch cable and it started right up.Other than being very cold blooded it runs great.I want to replace the tires,they look great but they're 12+years old and I still have to change the fork oil.

I've owned several other kawi's,an '80 kz750,'95zx6e,'99zx9 and currently have a 2001 zrx 1200.

Welcome to the site. Niiiiiice find and it came with the best kind of pricetag. I'm officially jealous. The 550 std. is a really nice little ride and yours looks to be in excellent shape. I'm sure you'll enjoy that one for many years to come. That is some nice looking scenery in the background where are you located?
