Hi Guys from Sydney

Hi guy's Rob here
I have been riding road bikes for 24 years & racing solo's & sidecar's for 10 years. Have had over 30 bikes of all diferent breeds & found a liking for Kawasakis (go figure)
My current bikes are:
05 Z750
O5 ZX10R race bike
81 Z500b soon to be Forgotten Era race bike

I also swing on a Z1100 Forgotten Era road racing sidecar:evil: its great fun!
Hope to pick you brains for info on the Z500 that is just a bare frame at the moment (pics to come)

Welcome Rob! There are a few members with Z500's (although most of us have never seen one:laugh: ) I have a manual for your bike, should you need something technical looked up.

Welcome! I've heard the rules for Forgotten Era are a bit more relaxed than the strict rules we have here (especially AHRMA), wish we'd have that here. What are the main criteria for eligibility there?

The rules here for P5 are quite strict all major components must be period but rims can be 17" for over 500cc + only allowed to run pump fuel
All period bikes have a log book & as usual you have to prove elegilability of any non OEM parts:unsure:

I was at the Eastern Creek Raceway last weekend for the start of the NSW superbikes & had a track day the week before so I think I am going to need more brownie points from the bride:angry: before heading to any track soon.
We are Gearing up for the Barry Sheene Memorial next month so the priorities are on that.
BTW I am mainly on the Kawasaki forum KSRC-au.net

Hey Rob I am new to these boards as well. Welcome I to enjoy track days but it will be a while before I can get out to the track nearest to me. I really liked the Kawasaki Z750 but they didn't do well here in the Eastern US can't figure that. The Z1000 I don't care for though, otherwise I like all streetfighter bikes. As far as my KZ1000 goes I would love to take it up to pocono and kick hell out of some newer machines I think the old girl might be up for the challange.
If I chop down the weight by 100lbs and put some corsa III pirellis on her its already got the jets and kerker I will try to put some clubmans on her and go with a solo safe seat.

Hi Graeme, yes we travel interstate for meetings & in the past I have raced with the BEARS events at broadford but I havent been to Winton yet but give it time;)
