Wow, I'm definately not alone now!! was created by Escobarclan
I bought an 82 csr1000 at a killer price, and thought, "What in the world did I get into?" "How am I gonna find parts for this thing?" "Holy crap, NOONE has one of these!!" "Is there ANYONE around that I can relate to and lean on?"

I've had alot of projects before, dune buggies, muscle cars, but I always wanted to restore and ride a motorcycle for keeps. Then I found this site, and I think my blood pressure is coming down.

It is so cool you guys are here! Thank you, thank you, and just to make sure, THANK YOU for the resources you provide that I've found and am already putting to use.

What you got planned for your scoot? I leaning in a cafe/drag bike kinda thing.

Keep it floored.

CSRMORON, I'm glad there's someone else out there, getting into the same project I am. Yeah, mine is an '82 csr, all it needs to run is a carb clean from sitting, front brake cylinder seal(I think its called the same on a bike.) and a fork seal. But it does need a good cleanup, and I'm gonna polish all the aluminum, which I've never done that kind of polishing before. Don't know much about this "J-Motor" but the local parts guy is telling me its a great first bike experience. Keep in touch with me and maybe we can trade notes on sources and maybe even parts. Thanks.
