any one from wyoming here? was created by jmargrav
Hi all, I just joined this forum but I have been getting some great information from you guys for some time now, so thanks!! I am currently attending the University of Wyoming in Laramie and I got my 1982 Kawasaki kz750E3 from my brother for free. It is in rough shape but I would not have it any other way. :P

Welcome to KZr jmargrav. :)

Since I've been a member here on KZr (roughly about 5 years), I think I've only seen perhaps 4~5 people sign up here from the Wyoming/Montana area.

I'm guessing that folks in that area either don't own/ride motorcycles, or are simply out having to much fun riding their motorcycles to sign up and post here?

Since you've obviously been surfing this site for a while now you should know the drill....we need some pics of your bike! :woohoo:

Oh, and please don't forget to update your profile to show your location and what year/model bike(s) you have when you get a chance. B)

Not bad at all! Throw another seat on it and a few hours of spit and polish and she'll look fine!! P.S. Your cell takes pretty nice pictures! ;)

Hey jmargrav, welcome to the site!

I'm down in Fort Collins, so in Wyoming terms that's practically neighbors  . My daughter's going to school up there so I'm getting familiar with Laramie.

Haven't had the guts to take the kz400 up 287 to visit, but I'm hoping to get the 750 up to speed this Spring.

Stay warm up there!

Nice start there, you are in better shape than i was with any of my bikes i have had.

Also, that ding in the tank. You can push that out almost all the way with a 5/16 steel rod tipped with a rubber cap on the end, bend it to reach the dent and push away.
Then fill only what you cant get pushed back out.

what if your brother gave you this one?

Wheres your sidecover?

Welcome aboard!

I spent a night in Laramie back in 2005. Does that count? Seemed like a clean friendly town. I guess I should have looked around a bit more, but I was tired of driving and had another six hours or so ahead of me the next day. Some day I'm going to have to explore some roads other than I-80 out that way.

Hey jmargrav,

You might check the Kawasaki dealer on Grand Ave for parts. When I went to Sonic last year, I looked across the fence and saw a couple of obvious KZ parts bikes leaning up against the side of the building.

Boot may be up for grabs this year with Sonny Lubick gone. Remember, since my daughter goes up there we're considered turn-coat Pokes fans down here :P .

Stay warm.

JMARGRAV: Nice to see someone from the Cowboy state here. I went to UW from 2000-2005 (law school, supposed to be 3 years but my stay got interruped because my Uncle Sam decided that I needed a couple of "vacations", one in Afghanistan and one in Kuwait.)

Anyway, you're probably buried in snow right now and freezing cold but once the snow melts you should have some good riding. I'm down in Colorado now but will try to do some Wyoming riding this year if I can.

Snowy Range is always fun even if it's usually cold up there in July and August! And of course the ride down to Walden is always pretty nice.

I've thought the Fort Collins - Walden - Laramie loop would be a great ride in the summer. I was just alittle unsure of trying it with the kz400. If I can get the kz750 up and running (reliably), I'd be up for that! I'd just hate to break down somewhere like Woods Landing in the middle of nowhere (at least without my fishing rod);)
