Hey, better late than never, right?

Welcome to the asylum for the Kawi addicted my friend.
Make room in your garage/storage/patio for a few more KZ's, because it's a contagious disease that has afflicted us all.
Oh, and there's no known cure for it. So don't bother trying to fight the KZ buying urge, save that energy for your upcoming KZ projects! :P ;)

Hi Cow_Man and welcome to KZR. There are lots of friendly folks here, and some members in Saskatoon with tons of background experience and knowledge on KZ's. Where are all these Saskatoon KZ's coming from?

Welcome, Cow_Man, from another Prairie guy...in CowTown.....with a 650C2. I hope your B gives you as much fun as my C has given me. Great bikes that are a laff-riot to ride. More grins per mile than I've had for years.
It's strange that your B in your avatar is the same colour as my C. Did someone change the bodywork at some time in the past ??
Some of the experts on here can help out with this but I thought the C2 was the only model (besides the Z1R) that got the "Stardust Silver" paint. Am I wrong ??
Any clarifications gratefully accepted.

KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.

Welcome Cow_Man.
Some nice big pics of your ride are a must. Max 550 pixels wide allowed here.

H2Rick, you are correct that only the 650C2 and the '78 Z1R came in Metallic Stardust Silver.
The '77 C1 came in Moon Dust Silver, which is more silver compared to the C2's and Z1R's blueish tinge.

Here's mine back in it's original paint:

welcome. everybody is definitely right about wanting more KZ's. I started with a 78 650, just picked up a 76 750 twin, and look every day for new bikes. even though my garage is full, I keep thinking "maybe I can get one more in here". I guess I just need to buy a new house to house all the KZ's I want:)

I was wondering about the colour. I did a little research and the only colours for the 78 B KZ were Dark Blue and Red. The only thing I can think of is that the body work was changed. It doesn't look like it has been painted.

It supposedly was owned by a Kaw dealer as his personnal transport back in the day so perhaps the colour was changed as the original colours were't very popular. As you can see the seat isn't the original either. It also has had the Ignition upgraded to the Electronic CDI mod.

As was already said, I'm also in S'toon and just joined this group after buying my first bike as well. It's gonna be a long, long, winter waiting on better riding weather, though.

I need to find a school in the spring -- any suggestions?

Cheers,
Rod.

Looking for a Rider's repeat in 2008!!

Yes, some kind of driver training course is what I'd like to find. I've never driven a bike before.

Thanks,
Rod.
