New ,well kinda.

Just wanted to say hello . i have watched and searched this place for over a year or more .My 11yr old son inherited a 78 650sr with 18000 miles on it . his mother was going to sell it to get him a dirtbike and i steppped in and bought it . I had one when i was 21 ,that was awhile ago . I loved the bike then and for the price i thought it would be nice to keep it restore it and give it back to him some day .So starts the journey . I already have heap of ?'s and have found many answer's thank you for an awsome source of info .

Welcome...and I have a single question for you...how did an 11 yr old inherit an SR650? Id've been out-of-my-skull is someone would have given me a bike at 11...:lol:

The bike was his grandpa's .He died a few year's ago from cancer . my son(jake) has been riding a dirtbike since he was 4 or 5 .when he first got the bike i let him run it around the block once .With me on the back my hand's inches from the grip's .lol.To here him tell it it he rode it to the moon and back "all by himself"LOL. thanks for the welcome
