I've been following this website for awhile and I figured it was about time to join in the fray. This is a great resource for me and my 1976 KZ900. I bought it in the Spring from the original owner. It had 28k miles on it when I got it and it just clocked 33k. I've done quite a bit with it since May. I've tried to turn it back into the hot rod I knew was hiding underneath the saddlebags, vetter fairing, and various other touring add-ons that the old guy (he was actually a very cool dude)that sold it to me had put on it over the years. It's still a work in progress and I've a ways to go to get it where it belongs, but I'm psyched that I own a 900! Thanks for having me aboard.--beazzzz

Oh, My!
That is a very nice example of a '76 900! Way to bring it back to its former (original) look... that'll definitely turn some heads at bike night!

RetroRiceRocketRider--I bought it for $1500. But Since I've owned it I changed out the handlebars, mirrors, seat, exhaust, tires, chain, ignition, clutch, shocks, coils,
all cables, brakes, and a whole host of other things...I still have a new seat cover coming from B and H that I'll put on the stock seat pan and a competition baffle from Vance and Hines as well as an original Kawasaki oil cooler for the 76.The real selling point to it was the original paint job. It's just starting to show a little bit of fading on the top of the tank..about the size of a golf ball, but other than that it still buffs up like new.I used a buffer on all the cases as well, they came up pretty nice too! I ride it regularly, although the weather here in Maine is starting to turn towards Winter.I'll ride 'til the first snow then after that I'll put her in the back barn with the other pony's 'til next Spring.
