new kz650 rider from nor cal.

so i came up on a sweet deal for 2 kz650's, one is a 1977 the other is a 1978.

ive always wanted to work on motorcycles and build them. just never had the motivation. im not mechanically disabled, i prefer to learn and do things on my own. im very familar with datsuns/nissans.

so i came across some cafe pics to re inspire me, and came across a sweet deal for 2 bikes for 300 bucks. and couldn't let the deal get away.

here is some pics of the bikes hope all of you enjoy.

both bikes are pretty complete i just started to work on
the 77, the dual disc brakes are pretty cool. since i didnt have to do that conversion later.

Are either turning over or running?

well no, which really sucks... but both are complete... the 77 has brake caliper issues.. and the kick start doesnt want to turn...the key to the gas cap was lost. i busted that loose and tossed it.. inside, is of course rusted.. needs some cleaning.. petcock needs rebuild or might as well purchase a new one..

the green one the 78, is in better condition needs a battery, i can probably get that one running but the petcock on it also is pretty much fubared.. but everything else checks out fine.. just gotta fire it up.. im hoping these would just need some ignition parts and some gas... since the previous owner rebuilt both motors and had them sitting forever... last registration was in 89 for both..
