hello everybody
My name David

today I bought my first motorcycle a "750 twin B". but all I could do was get it and put it away. It doesn't work but I'm planning on fixing that. found this site before I got "my" bike and keep coming back. I will really love any help I can get. I don't even know were to start. put a pic in may help, maybe not. all I know to do is clean it first. then what

David

Hello David...welcome to KZR...the first tip is:

(1) Buy a KHI (Kawasaki Heavy Industries) shop manual. They appear on eBay regularly (expect to pay US$10-$40, depending on bidding hunger). But, it may also be posted on the web...perhaps another KZR member will step in with the address. These documents are invaluable and will answer many of your questions...and let you know how deep you want to get. :)

Shop manual is the absolute first. Next thing is the old faithful spark check? If you have spark and the motor is getting gas, your chances of firing up are really good. Of course, there is a possibility of other things since the bike has been sitting for awhile, but these old motors are die-hard!

Good luck!

My tank doesn't have gas. Stupid Question, but should I put gas in the tank, even if it rusted, to do the spank test?
