New from Minnesota

My name's Aaron. a little over a month ago I picked up this 82 csr 1000. Which if I can afford it this winter will become my new project.

Hey MplsKZrider,
Looks like you have a nice bike to work on for the winter. I am up in Garrison, about 2 hrs north of you.
I currently have 2 bikes in progress; 79 1000LTD, and a 77 650 that I picked up in Forest Lake for $150 about a month ago. The 79 is in boxes and buckets (started as a carb cleaning)and the 77 didn't run at all but runs now with a simple tune-up and fuel system rehab. I'm saving the 79 for the winter for something to do. Anyway, I hope to see updates of your project over the coming months.

Yeah, I know, I know!
I've got this little problem: every bike in my garage has found it's way there...I didn't go get any of 'em. This has put me into the "cheap bastard" group and I find that I fit there for a reason...I'm a cheap bastard...so I have to wait for my 'deal'.

But hey, until then you all get to hear me bitch and complain! :woohoo:

Your bike appears to be in
very original condition.
Have always liked the CSR's
clean lines and spoke wheels.
IMO, a true classic motorcycle.

Thanks everyone, current plans are a low rise straight bar,extended swing arm, rebuild the motor, new forks (current ones are a little bent) and I haven't decided if I'm going to do stock or upside down forks yet, Different tail and possibly more. It may take a while though, working on buying a house so until then I have no place to work on it and after I do I won't have much money to spend on it so it's a little bit of a lose lose situation. It's also hard to have 2 projects to fund and work on in 1 garage. My other one being a truck
